Premium stick welding electrodes E312L-16 rods for stainless steel welding in stainless steel fabrication, maintenance and repair work.
AWS Classification: A5.4 E312L-16. Core rod: 3/32" (2.4mm) dia. x 12" (300mm) length. Typical ultimate tensile strength of weld: 110,000 psi.
Typical deposited chemical composition %: C=0.1, Cr=30.0, Si=0.5, Ni=9.0, Mn=1.8, P=0.02, S=0.02.
Highly resistant to weld metal cracks and fissures and wide acceptance for welding high yield stainless steels as well as dissimilar steels. Provides high oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures.
Utilized for welding stainless steels to mild steels with high tensile alloys as well as high temperature, heat-resisting alloys that are difficult to weld with ferritic electrodes. And for applications with work-hardenable/hot-cracking resistant.
